Ambiente H2O Inc. (AHI), a premier representative firm serving the water and wastewater treatment industry, has an immediate opening for full time Outside Sales Associate. Sales focus will be in the great States of Utah & Idaho. Base operations for the position will be likely be out of the Salt Lake City, UT office or potentially in one of the other AHI sales offices. There is flexibility for base operations, including using a home office. Frequent travel to engage current and potential customers is required. Clean driving record and reliable transportation is a must.
Candidates who have experience in water and wastewater treatment and/or plant operations, process equipment, pumps and instrumentation sales are at an advantage over other employment seekers. Successful candidate will be creative, adaptable to future challenges/ opportunities, able to multitask and must have excellent interpersonal skills (i.e., demonstrable people skills and able to interface with a variety of personalities). The ability to work independently, set and meet goals, self-motivate and efficiently use time when traveling are keys to success.

Job Description:
- Sales and promotion of water and wastewater treatment equipment, pumps and instrumentation.
- Frequent and sustained contact with End Users/Operators, Engineers, Contractors, Public Works personnel, Developers and Private Industries. Customers are basically anyone and everyone associated with the water treatment industry in all of its forms.
- Frequent and sustained contact with the companies and regional sales people that Ambiente H2O Inc. exclusively represent. Contact methods include, but not limited to, in-person and virtual sales calls, webinars, proposal preparation and follow-up, training, trade shows, product demos, etc.
- Use of tools, for call tracking, project tracking, bidding, expense reports and self-promotion via social media. Skill development using any “Tried and True” and/or “New and Innovative” approaches are expected to be pursued.
Compensation/benefits:
- Position is Commission-based. A biweekly draw will be provided. Earnings above draw will be paid as additional income.
- Starting wages are based on a biweekly draw. Draw income is negotiable and typically, commensurate with experience. Ultimately, employee income is directly related to actual productivity. This method of compensation is well suited to teachable, self-motivated and self-confident individuals.
- It is anticipated that there will be a period of time (typically 12 to 18 months) during which commissions earned are less than draw. Provisions to write off any negative balances will be included in the employment contract to cover this period of training and acclamation.
- AHI pays an additional “Benefit” that can be used at the discretion of the employee for health insurance and/or additional compensation. Benefit is subject to income taxes.
- Paid Personal Leave accrues for every hour worked and can be used at employee’s discretion to cover scheduled or unscheduled time off.
- Additional benefits such as 401K contributions, Employee Match, supplemental insurance are all part of the compensation package (some benefits start once time of service commitments are met).
